Soooo I'm getting braces next Friday and since I'm really self conscious about my teeth now I'm going to be super self conscious, but hella excited and happy! Is there a way to make braces look good?? Haha. Right now I'm thinking I'll be wearing red lipstick for the next 2 years..Lol

There really isn't a "way" to make braces look good, but whatever you do, don't get yellow or light green braces, they make your teeth look that color from a far! Good luck;)

I've seen girls on YouTube with braces wear bold lips with no problem. I wouldn't let braces stop you especially if you're going to be wearing them for two years. Just make sure you get excess product off your lips so it doesn't have a bigger chance of transferring and just check on your teeth every once in a while during the day. Braces will look like braces. You can't make 'em look pretty.

Rock them! Braces can look cute if you wear them with total confidence. Don't hide your teeth when you smile; it's your best beauty weapon :)

I have braces now ! They suck.. but hey it'll be worth it when they come off !(: My only tip to you is A. Don't get very bright colors for braces. You get tired of them easily trust me and B. don't get white ! They stain and make your teeth look yellow ! I was self conscious of them first but girl you can work them(:

I just got mine taken off in may. After a while you get used to it. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

in the past, i've worn braces for 5 years and honestly, "makeup" is NOT going to make them look better on you. If anything, you can tell your Ortho to put your favorite colored rubber bands. You looking good in braces really depends on how your face looks.

I've had braces for 4 months now. I can relate to being self conscious about your teeth even before the braces go on. I was the same way. The first day I had them I felt awful. I didn't even want to go back to work. But now my teeth are a lot straighter and I feel a lot better about my smile. Also.. If I may add I wear red lipsticks daily. I just blot my lips on a napkin right after applying to make sure I got all the excess off. You'll get used to them in about a month or so after they put them on. Just be confident. Sometimes I even forget I have braces. ;) best of luck.

Lol I meant you'll look great with them too , after a little while people won't even notice , I've had braces for 3yrs I get them off this month and my great grandmother just realized I had braces . Theres nothing to worry about honestly ,just follow every single detail of the doctors orders and Brush and floss those gums till their pinker then hello kitty's bow  🎀

I've had braces for almost two years (I'm getting them off within the month) and I found that pinks look best against white teeth and if you don't want to attract extra attention to them, either get black or grey (doesn't make them pop as much) hope this helps!

Braces are really hard to work with. I had them for years when I was a kid. It was kind of fun changing up the colored bands though.

I still have braces and you can make it look good. Confidence is the key! Just because you're going to have braces on,doesn't mean you can't wear bold colors or whatever you like. At first I was really adjusting to it and I became too conscious but you know what, it will get better and you'll get used to it. :)

when i had my braces it was better either having nothing on your lips lip balm or a clear or light coloured/colored gloss on :)
