If you touch it a lot the oils on your hands rub off on. Your hair.

Don't wash your hair every single day it will strip your hair of its natural oils causing your hair to produce more oil.

Try not combing or brusing your hair more than once a day and while your doing it, don't comb the hair on your scalp. This makes your scalp secrete oil.

If you wash your hair everyday it would get greasy by the next day cause your scalp is producing its natural oils faster!! With every wash hair gets stripped of its oils...Wash your hair not more than thrice a week...Follow the pattern until your hair gets adjusted to it!! Use a dry shampoo to keep the greasiness away on days between washes...

I agree with everyone! To get you through a transition period, where you wash your hair less and less... try dry shampoo on the days it looks a little greasy and try alternating shampoo with a "cleansing conditioner" every other day until you can start washing it less and less =)

There was actually a study done somewhere that found there is no relationship to the frequency you wash your hair and how much oil your scalp produces. To prolonged your hair from getting oily too fast: shampoo and conditioner your hair and then go BACK to the shampoo and put a dime sized amount on the crown of your head. Gently just smooth it over the top of your head (make sure your not scrubbing or making it lather) then rinse that out. It gently just removed a little bit of buildup that conditioner can leave on the top part of your hair.

Try a dry shampoo. Theyre supposed to absorb the oil in your hair to make it look less oily.
