Just wondering how much length you get taken off when you get a trim. My hair is quite long (nearly at hips) and I don't get it trimmed as often as I should so when I eventually get around to it my hair is really damaged and has heaps of split ends. My stylist ends up taking around 3" off to make it look healthy. Do you think that is too much length to be considered a trim? I want to keep the length but usually after she has cut it I still have some split ends :( thoughts? thanks in advance.

If you start getting you hair regularly trimmed (every 5-6 weeks) then after a while you won't even notice the ends coming off because it will be the tiniest amount coming off. the more regular you get it cut, the more you'll notice how much it will grow
