Should I do ombré?

I really want ombré hair but I'm not sure because my hair used to be red (it's back dark brown now) but it still has little red tints to it so I don't know if it will look right? I also don't want to damage my hair too much.

I'm not sure about going over red hair, but it could make your hair end up brassy. As for the actual dying, if your hair is dyed darker than it actually is, you could use a color stripper instead of bleach. If your hair is just dark, you'll have to bleach it, which can be unhealthy and damaging if it's not done properly.

You shouldn't strip your hair because it can cause a lot more damaged than having it bleached. Or a gentle cleanse (bleach and water) then put the bleach at the ends of your hair for the ombré look.
