I am in the market for a new skin care routine.. I've been using a mix of Biore and the Neutrogena wave sonic and it pretty much is doing nothing. I have combo/oily skin with moderate acne around my mouth and chin (very self conscious about it and would love for it to just leave me alone!) I am very good about washing my face and mostly good about taking my make up off at night. I clean my make up Brushes every week to limit the spreading of bacteria. I seriously try to do everything right and every day I wake up with a new pimple. Not to mention they lately have been leaving dark scars when they're gone. I have been looking at Yes to Tomatoes, boots no7, burts bees, olay, and even Murad (ugh $$$) I have used clean and clear in the past and it worked great in my teens but not now into my twentys. Anywho if yall could help me out that'd be awesome.

Wow that's a lot of information. So, personally I'm 19, and I use a Clarisonic with a face wash, toner and moisturizer. I'd try the Burt's Bees acne line. There's a salicylic cleanser, toner, and their moisturizers are amazing. Try the radiant moisturizer, it might help with the dark scars.

Well my skin care routine is I wash my face with a bar from Kiss My Face at night, then I wash my face with half water and half apple cider vinegar. I don't rinse the vinegar off though. then I moisturize after. hope I helped :)

Murad is also good (I use their acne toner sometimes), but yeah, expensive. I don't want to say experiment, really, cause your skin might freak out because of that.

Also I'm seventeen. the vinegar helps with black heads, acne and acne scars :)

Hannah W. I just wanted to be thorough lol. I have heard good things about Burts Bees so I might try that. I would love to have a clarisonic but I am a teacher and have bills lol.. Not a lot of 200 bucks just sitting around for a clarisonic. Maybe I will ask for one for my bday. That's why I got the Wave sonic thought it might be a cheap alternative... It feels great and my skin is so soft after using it just doesn't helo much with the acne.

I have the same problem with acne under my mouth and on my chin. Its so upsetting but I've been told its hormonal and there isnt really much I can do about it :/

I heard and am looking into getting olay brush set instead. look at the reviews and I won't be investing in Clarasonic since I don't have that much on hand at the moment. I highly recommend boots no 7..The green combo skin collection they have is amazing my sis had the same issue and I gave her the gel face lotion as a gift and she loved it. They also have blemish control toner etc.it's worth a try.

I know it's expensive, I'm so sorry I seriously wasn't suggesting it. I got it as a present a while ago. I also think that it's the products you use that help with acne, not the brush, you know?

I just wanna second the Olay brush suggestion. I bought one as an alternative to the clarisonic and when paired with a good cleanser it works nicely- just use it once a day or once every other day.

You guys have been a great help. Thanks so much I'll look into the olay brush cuz I'm not to hot on the Wave sonic from neutrogena.. You have to put their special pads on it with their product already on the pad so you can't use your own clenser and what not.
