A friend of mines asked me to host an eyebrow seminar at her job. I want to know how much I should charge each person that wants to get their eyebrows done. ( An arch & filled in). Is $15 too much? please help.

Are you waxing them?
Benefit brow bar charges 20 for a wax and fill in- that's an actual cosmetic brand.
The average waxing with no fill in is about $6-8
I'd say 15 is a decent number if you're waxing them

If its a counter I would recommend suggest the clients to buy product instead of charging. It's like redeemable in product ;$

$15 is a good price :)

No, I'm not waxing them. I'm just shaping them with the eyebrow razor, if need be, and filling then in with the pencil/ powder. Also, using the concealer to define the shape.

Oh then I think 15 is too much.

How so? If you go to a salon to get your eyebrows done, it's about $8-10. If I'm actually shaping and filling them in, I don't think that is too much. I'm also showing them different techniques on doing their eyebrows. The only people that are paying, would be the ones that wasn't them done. I hope I explained it better.

I just think that for 5 more they can go get them professionally done and filled in. And that's wax.
If you're just going to use a razor I don't think 15 is a justifiable price... But I guess if it's a workshop thing 15 is ok

I also agree that fifteen may be a little too pricey since they're is no waxing/threading involved. I pay $9 for a wax and $12 for a threading. I think the $10-12 range would be good.

I know a few spots that charge only $4 for eyebrows to be done, now with makeup applications I could see it being over 10! but with the economy beig what it is, 15 sounds really harsh to people, coming from queen discount herself lol. but depending on your crowd... most people wouldn't mind paying 15 but then again it's your seminar... how much are you worth!? if your an eyebrow god go ahead & work it!

In my opinion $15 is too much.

Depends on where you are, here in the DC area waxing/treading is $10-$15 and $20+ for a professional artist. Sounds like you are trying to build clientele. Personally I don't razor my brows because it won't last. If you don't think you'll get repeat business charge $15 for the seminar and offer a limit on the number of brows but they need to fierce.

It really depends on the location, if you're in a major urban area. I think in general $15 for razor is too much, even with the fill in. They'll just grow back too quickly for it to be worth $15. But if the average for a brow grooming in your area is around $20 then go ahead with $15. Good luck!

Charge whatever you feel is your worth. You already know the answer to this ;) Best of luck!

In my opinion only a good makeup artist can give you the best advice for the same.
