Hey girls, so I live in Texas and the weather has been terrible to my hair. I straighten it and when I go out the humidity just undoes that and it gets all poofy and fluffy. Which is never a good look. I'm not sure what kinds of hair products to use on it especially when I wear it natural since it gets so dry after I wash it. Right now I am using Herbal Essences' Twisted Sister I think, but I want to try something different since it isn't helping with the dryness. Do you guys know if the new Garnier Triple Nutrition helps with dryness and any styling products to use so that my hair will stay curly and it won't get frizzy when I wear it?

I don't have frizzy hair but I know there's a line that is specially formulated for that its called frizz-eze or something like that... but you can find it at any drugstore.

So I have a question... I have really thick hair and I love curling it, but it just uncurls within an hour. It's really frustrating since I like to curl it but I have to have straight hair all the time. I use some hair spray on it, but I don't want to make my hair stiff. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've rocked the natural look all my life! Instead of washing your hair, try co-washing.. Even if you're not mixed buy some Mixd Chicks leave in conditioner. & keep a spray bottle with you incase your hair gets frizzy or dry, hope it works (:

Thanks you guys. I'll try Mixd Chicks India M. I've seen it in the stores, but never thought to pick it up.

Lynnie you can try cutting you hair into layers and it will curl better or try curling smaller sections because bigger sections probably weigh down your hair.

What is your leave in conditioner and your sealant for when it's natural?

Thanks Brittany! I've heard of argon oil and Moroccan oil also, but I didn't know that it helped with dryness. Where can I find the LUSH shampoo?

Erin, I use the Herbal Essences Twisted Sister conditioner. I don't wash it out because it doesn't say that I have to, so I just leave it in.

Thank you but I'm not exactly interested in buying anything, just curious to see how I can help.

But you need to put an oil in your hair to act as a sealant to keep the moisture in for a longer period of time.

Giovanni direct leave in conditioner is amazing and leaves my hair feeling super moisturized. I seal with a mixture of extra virgin olive oil, hot six oil, vitamin e oil, and coconut oil.

As far as the frizz goes, do you normally do wash and goes or twist outs?

Try using conditioner as almost a gel! I use it like that and my hair never frizzed. Up! Also try shea moisture products! And try no poo. I use ACV to cleanse my scalp once a week. Then I co wash every day with Pantene.

Use argan oil, trust me, it's smoothing. I use a brand called pro naturals, put the oil in damp hair and let it dry or style your hair. It should stay smooth.
