I've been doing makeup inspired by pictures I see on the Internet, but I can never get it to look as vibrantly colored as it does in the picture. I have fair skin and I've been told that's why, but I don't think so. Anyone know how to make the colors pop?

Using a good primer can do wonders. Also, high-end makeup has less fallout than drugstore makeups. Keep in mind, though, a lot of pictures you see are heavily photoshopped to make the colors pop more.

Using a white base like NYX jumbo eye pencil in milk will also make your eye shadows pop. I always reach for mine when i want my look to be intense.

Definitely a great primer, and a white base. It'll really help your colors stand out compared to not using it.

Use a neutral color eyeshadow base, such as Mac Paint Pots
