Try a smokey eye but with lighter browns! And maybe a purple eyeliner or something since you don't want it too natural :p.

-don't use primer
-make sure your concealer is the exact colour as your foundation or it'll bring attention to your spots
-make sure you contour so your face doesn't look flat
-don't forget blush
-DO YOUR BROWS
-don't use translucent powder
-try some shimmery eye shadows to bring light to your eyes.
What's your eye colour?

I think you should use a primer and depending on the foundation you use and your skin type, wouldn't rule out using a powder to set.

I said translucent powder, as it'll give you a white cast
And you're not supposed to use primer when taking pictures because you want the foundation to blend into your skin as apposed to sitting on top of it

Translucent is translucent, it shouldn't give you a white cast if it's finely milled and applied correctly only in areas that you need it. I have never gotten a white cast from using it personally.
I don't believe there are certain rules in makeup like "do not wear a primer under makeup for photos", what if you have really dry skin? I NEED primer daily to keep my makeup in place and skin moisturised. Smashbox photo primer is designed specifically for photography.
A primer for some people isn't needed, but I cannot go without. All the ones that I use blend my foundation into my skin just perfectly.

It's just a tip... And yes even though it SHOULDN't it still does. The primer thing is also a commonly known tip for photoshoots etc. sorry if they don't work for you but no need to bash my tips

Sorry britt I was't in any way bashing your tips and I apologise if it seemed that way, I was just saying what worked for myself and my own opinion.
