lol My parents are the same! My mom has a facebook, but never uses it. She hates technology. She has an iPod touch, but all she does on it is play mahjohng. >.< Oh, I mean. She doesn't even listen to music. It makes me angry, it's a waste of money... But whatever. And both her and my dad still type in http://www before EVERYTHING. I'm just like, with most websites you don't even have to type the m in com anymore. I'm so afraid to see how I'm going to be with MY kids!!! haha

My mom probably thinks my laptop is the slimmer version of a George Forman grill... XD
My dad has to have new tech toys, but I'm at the age where I can afford my own now, so it's a constant competition to see who has the biggest/baddest toys. =D
Dad: I got the new iPhone 4...
Me: Oh? *pulls out phone* I got the new 4s...
Dad: *grumbles* it's ok, I'll get the iPhone5 when it comes out
Me: *grumbles* =\

My Mom knows her way around computers as it pertains to her work. Outside of that, she's hopeless. No Facebook, nothing.
My Dad barely knows how to send text messages and save contact details on his phone. And his phone is OLD SKOOL. Like Nokia 8250 kinda old skool. Yeah, remember those?

^It's important to teach everyone how to text! If there is some sort of natural disaster, phone calls will not go through, but txt msgs do! =]

@Soma S. Is that text thing true? Hmm, well I'm sure my Dad has figured out the SMS system by now. It's just that he refuses to reply to them. Hyuk. And I have a feeling that the tiny dot of an island where I am would be completely wiped off the face of the earth in the event of a natural disaster. Sad, but true.

My mom gets really confused by technology. She recently got an iPhone and every time someone texted her she'd call back because she had no idea if they'd called or not. She rarely checks her Facebook because she had the worst memory and she always forgets her passwords. She's cute though, she gets lost in her community, which is in a golf course with 1 main street! XD
My dad passed away last year but he was pretty good at keeping up. He was an engineer and he loved learning new stuff. He would constantly e-mail me slideshows with interesting tidbits and facts. I have a folder in my e-mail account with probably over 1000 emails, 490 of which I haven't read yet. It makes me sad just to look at the folder now but I'm sure I'll open them eventually and it'll be like having a little of him around again =)

Lex R. - it is... A sudden surge of emergency calls can jam up the signal and overload to where an audio cal won't go through... SMS uses less bandwidth and has a higher chance of connecting you. =]

My mom is totally a technology retard. She would open emails that are obviously infected with viruses. To prevent her from breaking another computer again, I bought her an iPad, but she STILL would run into problems..
