I'm talking about tipping the person doing your make-up when you have an appointment at Sephora. I'm not sure if the $50 purchase limit gives them any commission but I'm not sure what I should do since I have never given the make-up artist money directly.

MUAs at Sephora are, first and foremost, Sales Associates. If Sephora is anything like most retail/sales jobs, then they cannot legally accept gifts and/or gratuities. So, no. You probably shouldn't even try to tip a MUA at Sephora.

Tanya your right. Some stores like mine allows you to claim the money with security. I've worked for several cosmetic brands already from high end to pharmacy brand & I've never been told in training I can't accept a tip

Thanks for answering, I recently went and the MUAs aren't allowed to accept tips at that location.
