Well After all my mascara posts I decided to get the benefit they're real! Well from reading reviews on other websites I must have thought this mascara would be a miracle worker! Well I'm shocked how much I haven't liked it! I truly believe it's nothing special! The search continues! Suggestions? For mascaras that leave your lashes soft?

Sorry Corrinne, it's really not my favorite either. Have you tried Loreal voluminous? Also there is a Smashbox one that I think is great. I forgot the name of it just a sec.

Ok it's the smashbox full exposure. Mascara us such a personal decision that sometimes it just comes down to trial and error.

I agree with Tara it is trial and error that's why I usually buy the trial size of products or samples.Or here's a tip also look into the sister products of big companies they usually own drug store brands.

Ah thanks alma I will have a look into that - a lot of people love the maybelline ones so I may try some of them as there quite reasonable priced. I was very glad I only bought the trial size benefit phew lol.

I've had channel intense once.It was heavenly. I could keep applying without my lashes become clumpy. Best ever. I've also had L'oreal million lashes and it wasn't even close to the Chanel mascara. I hope someone will give it to me as a present, because I just can't pay 28? for a mascara that will last just 3 months:( Even though I'll look like an angel with it :)

If you want a mascara the leaves your lashes soft, the only one I can recommend is Maybelline Full N Soft. I recommend the non water proof one. I use this one all the time, for everything.

Girls your all fab thanks - my shopping list is getting bigger ha. Rebella I'm sure you look like an angel anyway with it without the Chanel (I know I love chanels lipgloss but I get through them so quick I can't keep buying them )

Just a side note Corrinne, I didn't like the Benefit They're Real at first just like you. BUT after I continued using it, and it dried out a little bit, I started to really like it, mostly because it holds an amazing curl like waterproof mascara, without having to use damaging waterproof mascara. Bonus!

I second the Dior (any of them): super soft lashes. My only problem is that they don't really give me a wow look, as say, Lancôme hypnose drama...

Awe I love They're Real. But, it's not for everyone. Lancome hypnose drama is a great one for volume.

I have thrown out many a new mascaras because the first couple times I applied it, I hated it. Then I couldnt throw one away I disliked because I was on a budget, and I noticed after a couple weeks- I loved it. The texture is different on new tubes, almost "unworkable" for me. Not saying this works for everyone... but now, if I know I'm going on vaca or special event, I start a new tube a few weeks before...I don't know, I guess I'm just weird. lol.

If you can find it online (they discontinued in US) , Max Factors "Stretch and Seperate" is the best! I always have girls asking what mascara I use when wearing it. Worth the search :)

I second full n soft by maybelline but I like the waterproof version... Not as difficult to remove as most waterproof formulas plus its summer! I ordered sephora's lash stash sampler last week and it should be arriving any day now... I will have five higher end mascaras to sample. I'll post a review if anyone is interests, but I'm usually a drugstore gal on mascara since it goes bad within a few months or dries out.

I really like givenchy noir couture.. It's gives me lots of volume and builds up quick :) kinda pricey... Which sucks.. But I tend to splurge on mascara. I tried benefits they're real and wasn't impressed either.. I must have got a bad tube.. The consistency was way thin and sticky. Weird. I got little black speckles all under my eyes and they smeared like crazy. Baha horrible. Goodluck girl!

Thanks ladies your comments have been fab! I'm going to test them ll eventually! I just wanted to say I've tried the benefit with a different mascara brush (I only bought the small 4g one so the wand is quite small) and I think I really quite like it now - I think it's the brush I'm not keen on - thought I'd update you all 😇
