I just changed my earring so I could look a little prettier and it just so happens that my ear got infected. Its only a little swollen and it hurts so I am scared to take it out because I know it will super bad to put a new one in. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Keep to clean would be my only advice, if you feel the need to touch your ears clean your hands before and after too. I used to get this all the time when I first had my ears pierced, it can be really painful but you have to make sure it's all cleaned out! Remember to steep your earrings before using them too to make sure all/most bacteria is at bay!

I have my industrial done and the ends of mine got keilods (sp) I thought it was infected but it wasn't. What I did was get an antibacterial soap and keep it in the shower then just clean it with that in the shower...you can also do sea salt soaks. Get a cup with lukewarm water and a tsp of sea salt and tilt it over your ear for about 5 mins. Another thing to try is tea tree oil, dab some on your ear with a q-tip! :)

I used to get ear infections all the time, because my stupid sensitive ears, but when I got my ears pierced at Claire's when I was 6 they gave me stuff that would help clean it. But if it's really bothering you, you can hold ice up against your ear. I hope that it gets better!
