If you want soft curls you can't really use curlers/rollers... They actually make ringlets more than nice natural curls...
But you can comb it out (not as nice and wreck the curls)
If you want your curls to stay you need to wear them over night (non ceramic)
Ceramic it should be heated... So you just have to leave them in when there hot into your hair wait and take them out

If blood dry your hair straight.. And apply anti frizz before you chuck them in rollers. Then when you take them out..hairspray your hair and put anti frizz on it.. Works for me.. If your hair is curly already blow drying it straight with brush does the job..

Have you tried the headband method? The Headband Method(in case you don't know what that is :3) is you put a headband on kinda like hippie style, and you wrap your hair(while its damp, Not wet! Or completely dry!) around the headband and leave it over night. Then take it out in the morning. Curlers and irons don't work for me either, but this works perfectly! I hope this helps you in some way!

Use mousse and/or an anti-frizz serum before applying the rollers to your hair. When you take them out in the morning, flip your head over and jiggly them around a little while GENTLY scrunching with more mousse. Keep your hair flipped and lightly hairspray. :) that's how I do this and my hair is under my butt & EXTREMELY EXTREMELY thick.

Foam rollers only work on certain types of hair. I manage to get big loose curls from heated rollers, if they are too tight all you have to do is shake them out and apply curl cream

Next time, use some argan oil from pro naturals before and after, it smoothes frizz and defines curls because it's a styling serum and leave-in.
