Hey all, I REALLY want to try the new Kat Von D lock it powder foundation but there are zero reviews/ swatches to be found. Only on the liquid. I do not live close to a Sephora, and don't want to buy 3 on line just to get the right shade... Can any body help?Thank you!! Angel.

I haven't really used it enough to give a full on review, but I found it to be slightly darker than the liquid foundation. I'm a M58 in the liquid so I just got the same in the powder. Based on the color swatches on sephora, I did think it would be a little dark--and it was. Not by too much though. It probably wouldn't have hurt to get M57. When I wear it to set my foundation it makes me look a little sun kissed rather than bronzed, if that makes sense. Hopefully that helped a little bit.

If it helps I'm a C4 in the Mac studio fix powder and that matches me pretty well. I think I'm shade 310 in revlon color stay liquid foundation and that's my back up to the kat von d if that works. I have to go to work but I can try to do some swatches when I get home.

After getting a chemical burn from the Kat Von D foundation I have learned the importance of testing product samples before I buy them, or only purchase from stores that have a good return policy. Sephora has a good return policy.

I hate wearing liquid foundation, but out of everything I've tried over the past 10+ years, I love Kat Von D's the most... I saw this thread and immediately went to Sephora to try and snag the powder foundation instead. We only have a JC Penny Sephora and they didn't carry it, so I am going to order it online tonight... I wouldn't have ordered it if I didn't already have a color match from the line. I did hear (out of the very few reviews out there) that it was a little darker, so I'm going to order a shade lighter (in the same undertone) since I was pretty close to the lighter shade to begin with. I hope it works out!

I just got mine in the mail and as far as first impressions go, I love it! I'll let you know how it wears throughout the day. It goes on really smooth and actually has more coverage than I expected. It doesn't look too cakey. Getting one shade lighter (in the same undertone) is what I did and it is PERFECT.
