I have wanted to try it so bad! I have really lair skin though. I was wondering if the translucent would give me good coverage?

I use it and I have dark skin! I use a fluffy brush to distribute the product all over my face and I don't see any color! If I use a dense brush or a powder puff it definitely shows up though.

Nicole - translucent isn't supposed to give you coverage..?
but sorry Gabrielle And Tiffany, haven't tried translucent but I love the one that matches my skin tone!

Yes! I really love it! I have oily skin too, and it controls my oil really well. I haven't tried any other powder from the drugstore that keeps me matte as well as this does. The only problem is that it doesn't have coverage and the packaging sucks. If they had my shade and compact packaging it would be my favorite powder!

If you lightly used it, it wouldn't show up. And I use a translucent powder (I have fair skin though) and it helps to control oil :)
And Nicole, translucent powder doesn't give any coverage..its not supposed to show up on your skin.

It does control my oil & shine, I love it but I do notice in some flash photos that I look whitish, I don't use any spf so I know that's not what it is..I try not to apply so much.

It lasts about 5 hours on me which is a lot for me! And it last even longer with long-wearing foundation. Most of the time I have to blot after 3 hours without powder

Nina, should I try a darker color because I want coverage and a matte look.

I don't know about rimmel, but my Covergirl powder in translucent honey gives me coverage and a matte finish. I believe it was $5.99 at target.

No problem! I usually go all over my face with a big fluffy brush, but then go over my t-zone a little bit extra to make sure that area stays matte! I wanna try maybelline dream matte so badly to compare them, but there's no translucent shade :/

Nicole- yeah try maybelline dream matte its really good!

No it isn't translucent.

It's got a hint of yellow in it. More for pale people. Like me haha.

I have used with translucent and the tinted, I can defiantly tell the difference. if you apply lightly and blend with a big fluffy brush and aren't crazy oily it should last all day. I have also used the maybelline dream matte But it doesn't seem to last as well.

I use it too! it's very light and works perfectly for me as I have a medium warm skin tone, the powder is light with a slight yellowy undertone but it's coverage isn't great, it's more to lightly set foundation over certain parts of the face without caking your skin.

@Tiffany I totally agree with you I haven't found a concealer, foundation, or a powder in my shade I had to get it at Nordstroms and Sephora luckily I had a gift card, I also have noticed if you're really pale they often times can't find anything at the drugstore either hopefully that'll change one day.

It's four dollars at Walmart! I got the sandstorm color and now I have to return it because its too light for me.. I'm just going to get the translucent one for shine and oiliness!

I find different shades have like different formulas.translucent one is so fair it looks like chalk.but other shades are not like that.

It's not translucent, it's still a light beige colour. I heard that on darker skin it will make you look ashy. I personally don't really understand the hype of it, I found it worked the exact same as any other pressed powders and I have oily skin and it definitely didn't keep me matte for 5 hours like it claims.
