Hello ladies! I am wondering where you buy your nose jewelry from. I am looking for a very small, surgical steel, nose stud and preferably L shaped. I know they can be purchased many places, but my biggest request is finding one that is flush against the nose and looks small and flat. Claire's has the ideal size I like but the sterling silver began to tarnish and my piercing is kind of irritated now even after putting the surgical steel one back in. I'm picky I guess :) thanks in advance!!

I buy mine at the swapmeet for $3 or at any clothing store for $1.99.

Thanks girls. The ones you have are small and don't look raised/beveled? For lack of a better term. The ones on eBay are hard to tell how they look worn.

Thank you. Its just a straight one. It doesn't come out for nothing and it doesn't hurt. It doesn't stick out or anything.

I get mine from Spencer's & pagoda, I wear real diamond nose studs. I am allergic to nickel.

I bought a gold baby earring and put the bend in it myself with pliers. I have a small nose so the length of the baby earring was perfect and I'm allergic to nickel and cobalt so no surgical steel for me. I hope this helps.

When I had mine, I'd usually buy the jewelry from Spencer's.

Ladies ladies ladies, for nose rings especially you should buy at a piercing shop! Nose cartlidge us very very sensitive and if you have a reaction to cheap jewelry your nose cartlidge can fuse itself to the jewelelry. You can have to get it cut out of you. It cab cause huge abscesses and infect your sinuses. Your face is not something to be taken lightly! Buy body jewelry at a reputable jewelry supplier or from your piercer. You can even have them put it in for you and usually for free! It may be a tad more expensive, but its better quality and worth it. We're talking about faces and health here, not just some foundation you can wash off if you don't like it.

Yea a friend buys her from Spencer's but she doesn't know the material it's made of. For me, I trust surgical steel with my piercings because that's what I've always used and other metals tend to irritate it. I even noticed the one from claires (sterling silver) wasn't sitting right and felt like it was at a weird angle! Anyway, I looked at it and it looked tarnished and I'm like ah I knew I shouldn't have. I'm going to a local piercing shop and seeing what they have. Better to be safe than sorry for sure!

Although right now I have a golf hoop I used to have a small stud when I first got mine pierced. I got that one from piercing pagoda. A bunch of other places that would be good is, Spencer's, amazon, eBay, and any other tattoo/piercing shop.

Not all piercing parlors are like, super reputable! Some are nasty and have cheap, low quality jewelry. Just do your homework, make sure you know what kind of material you need and disinfect your body jewelry before using it.

I get the 3 pack for $5 from Wal-Mart. they're straight and I just bend the tip into an L with pliers. it's worked for me for years! but I buy my lip rings from a specialty shop.

Mia Taryn: oh for sure. I know I'm looking for surgical steel and clearly didn't have a good experience with the sterling silver. You'd think all piercing parlors would be super reputable and trustworthy, but not always the case ;)

Thanks for all your input ladies!! The bend to fit ones were ideal but the one I had in for a week felt too short and it was bender but looked like it was crooked in my nose and almost looked like it was pulling my piercing hole :/ too tight yet felt too loose!!
