Hi! So I'm trying to find a toner. My skin has been really dry lately, especially between my eyebrows. Currently I use Clinique facial wash (for dry skin), Caudalie Vino Source serum, and Cerave moisturizer both AM and PM. I also exfoliate about twice a week. I don't have a budget just something that will work with what I currently use and is alcohol free. Thanks for any suggestions!

If you don't mind the smell while using it, a natural skin toner is apple cider vinegar. I use it all the time and the smell fades and doesn't stay on your skin like you would think. You just have to dilute it with water before using it as a skin toner. Usually a 1 to 3 ratio works if you decide to use it :) it's not exactly a cosmetic product but it's always worked well for me. And I have really sensitive dry skin.

Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Toner, or Paula's Choice Resist Replenishing Toner (the latter is a bit more viscous)

They're both lovely and soothing; solvent alcohol and fragrance free. I prefer to apply with my hands, and if I'm feeling extra dry I'll let it absorb then reapply before the rest of my routine.

I agree with Lecua, and she's having 20% right now on her website, which I believe includes free shipping and 3 free samples. I own and love several of her formulations, but for when I'm really feeling that dryness, I reach for the Skin Recovery. (Her line is available at most Nordstrom stores as well.)

I actually found that using a Korean method of applying this sort of hydrating, replenishing and soothing toner in layers to be highly effective. I apply to freshly washed, patted dry skin with my fingertips and no cotton...pressing lightly into the skin. The Korean method does it 7 times, which is glorious...lol...but 3 does the trick very nicely. I only wait 60 seconds before going in with my second round of replenishment with the toner.

You might also enjoy adding a drop or two of oil to your moisturizer to make a cocktail or just bringing in a facial oil to your routine as a whole. I love The Ordinary's oils, but Walmart and Target have really nice facial oils as well. Of those available at chain-stores, I find Jojoba, Avocado and Sweet Almond to be my favorite for dryness. They are very inexpensive.
I'd store them out of the light, such as in a medicine cabinet or linen closet, but if you just keep them away from direct sunlight, that helps extend their life. Often I'll use the toner and then an oil right out of the shower...add a hint to my foundation...a bit on the ends of hair or if you want to the body, especially toes, elbows, knees, shoulders, the neck, etc. for summer...it's lovely and those oils are quick absorbing. They also work nicely mixed in with a favorite body lotion.
