So recently I have been getting a lot of back acne and I'm not sure why? I haven't ever gotten it so I don't know why I'm getting it now? what even causes it? I am on month two of birth control to help my face but I don't think it would cause back acne? any help or ideas? thanks!

Back acne can also start later in life. Exfoliation can help. If you are using products in the shower/bath that don't necessarily rinse off well, that can clog follicles. Conditioner is a common culprit.

I recommend Panoxyl 10%. It says its for face, back, and chest but I personally found it too harsh for my face. It does work amazing on back and chest!! (: its like $10 at Walmart!

Even though I have problem skin on my face, my body skin is good. The only time I get bacne or worse buttne happens when I work out on Pilates Reformer machines (studio) and don't clean them before I use them, even though with the price you pay for a Pilates class, they should be super hygienic, they aren't, my home one is, not changing and showering immediately after a work out, I hate showering at the gym, but I make sure to take off my shirt, bra, and wipe myself down with antibacterial wipes before driving home to my own nice clean shower, not cleaning my yoga mat after every use. I hope any of my odd tips helped, I never get breakouts on my body I think because these little idiosyncrasies.

I think since your on month 2 of a birth control pill that it could also be starting because your body is trying to adjust to the new pill you're on. I would think after about 4 months on the pill your body will be used to it and it might go away on its own.
I had the same problem but reversed. I went on the pill for back acne and it broke out my face but after my body adjusted it all cleared up.
