It's really hard to get rid of scars.. I never had acne but I had blemish prone skin & finally after 2 years the scars are going away. Patience is key, lol

You could get a retinal serum, there's a brand from Sally's that has a good one for like $10
Retinal helps speed up your skin renewal cycle and can help the hyperpigmentation fade sooner OR use a product with brightening ingredients such as vitamin c (ascorbic acid) licorice root extract, Arbutin, Kojic Acid or glutathione. All of which help brighten the darker areas.
There's a drugstore brand that makes a lot of vitamin C based creams and cleansers from Walgreens I believe and they work pretty good
AHA's work pretty good too, they chemically exfoliate your skin

OMG that's too long lol some of them are going away faster than others but it's so odd, I thought they would all go away at the same time.

I'm not sure if you can get your hands on it in the drugstore but my dermatologist prescribed tretinoin cream for my hyperpigmentation, and I've noticed a big different after a few months! :)
