Hi guys! I've been using my mia 2 for about three years now and I've noticed that it might be doing more harm than good to my skin.. I've tried using the sensitive brush heads but it still isn't giving me what I want... I've been looking at the foreo luna 2 for sensitive or normal/sensitive skin and I want to know if you guys have it and what you think of it compared to the mia?:)

I bought the forea luna mini (its not that small) this summer. I used to have the mia and had used all the brush heads, then tried am and pm then only pm then every other day, then only makeup days, etc. it never seemed to help my skin like I wanted. my skin was definitely clean but even the softest brush was too harsh. and I tried it for about 2 years.
I bought the foreo with the hope that it will be gentler but the same concept and also less costly. although I got the mia for free, the brush heads were kinda expensive to me. with the luna all you need to do is clean it with soap. also, charge once every 2 or 3 months (mine died today for the first time since I bought it). and it stays cleaner. it really is a great product... I use the method that is shown on the instructions (similar to mia). it really gets rid of makeup its insane and your skin is so clean. the nose part is harder to get into, but not a problem tbh you can just tild it and youre fine.
I also like to use the other side with the slower setting to massage and help penetrate serums and oils into my skin. you can also use it on other body parts to massage oils

I feel like that was a lot of rambling but overall I really like the foreo luna and prefer it over the mia, but it all comes down to your skin and how it reacts. Stephanie nicole on youtube has a video comparing the two (spoiler: she prefers the mia). I think its worth a try if you can afford it. its roughly the cost of 2 years worth of brush heads replaced every 3 months or so.

also, for some reason when someone says that the clarisonic doesn't work for them, people always say that they didnt use it right or find excuses but personally don't think its right for everyone

Also, even when I used the mia every night it was still too harsh, but with the mia I can use it am and pm and my skin feels great and not tight.

Thanks so much Lara! that's kind of what I'm going through with my clarisonic, I've stopped using it and started washing my face with my hands... it's definitely different for me as I have been using the clarisonic forever now but I am seeing a drastic change in my skin!

I recently got the Foreo Luna 2 for sensitive skin and I'm very much enjoying it after only a short while. I find that the small nubs combined with varying vibration intensity can be just what my skin needs for exfoliation since I prep overnight with a salicylic acid product.

Clarisonic-type products have always intimidated me. Too much scrubbing which isn't necessary to properly exfoliate your skin. The Luna 2 seems to essentially vibrate the skin that's ready to come off and it just seems to do the job; I can't think of another way to explain it.

Leuca, if you wouldn't mind me asking, what cleanser do you use with it? and do you use it only in the pm?

I've never used the clarisonic, purely because my skin is waaaay too sensitive to even try it and the wet brush head is seriously a breeding ground for bacteria and that freaks me out lol.
But I have the foreo luna 2, the purple one, and I love it. I bought it last November -December during the friends and family discount at sephora, and I love it so much. I actually didn't have to charge it until about two weeks ago, but I only use it once a dayish. It has improved my skin a lot, especially the flakes. But I have noticed that any acne doesn't last more than a couple days and my blackheads have essentially disappeared except when I'm on my period. I also use it in the shower on my body, and it's a good replacement for when you don't have a scrub. It does kinda take longer though lol. But it's gotten rid of my kp on my arms, and makes shaving my legs very much smoother. I also love to use the back of it to push in serums and stuff. If I'm in a rush, I can put my moisturizer and sunblock on and I can speed up the soaking in process by massaging it with the back of the foreo. It's especially great since it doesn't soak up any product.

I use it first with coconut oil to remove makeup, which is insanely easy with the foreo and you can even get close to the eyes without irritation so I can use it to gently remove my mascara as well. Then I use my cleanser, and then I use my serums and stuff and use the back with the gentle massage setting. It's really easy to make sure you're getting everywhere on your face too, it changes vibrations for a second to let you know to switch to the next part of your face after 30 seconds or whatever it is. So every part of your skin gets thoroughly cleaned. For trouble areas like my chin and forehead I stay for two cycles so that it gets all the dead skin and really gets in my pores. It does have a learning curve around the nose, but once you figure out how to tilt it to fit your face shape it's easy lol.

I have dry sensitive skin, but I couldn't recommend this enough to everyone lol.

I typically use the Olay Gentle Clean Foaming Facial Cleanser with it after using a micellar water/precleanse to get the layer of grime off my face at the end of the day.

I lather up the cleanser, spread it over my face, then apply a little more to the wet Foreo, turn it on and let it do its thing. You can adjust both your vibration settings and the pressure you apply with the device, so it's ridiculously flexible in what type of skin it can be used on in my opinion. Right now I'm using it twice a day and haven't noticed any negative side effects. I would occasionally get a little bit of residue on the cotton pad when applying toner before the Foreo Luna 2; that's virtually stopped. It hasn't caused any breakouts for my sensitive skin either which is a huge plus.

If you're concerned about irritation simply start at a lower frequency. For me, I find the higher settings to be quite stimulating, but I don't ever feel that I'm rubbing my skin too hard because the purple one has such tiny nubs on it. When you take it out of the box you almost think the nubs are too soft to do anything, but it totally floored me. I really wish their Minis would have varying nubs so that people could get a proper feel for how it can change the experience, because I was skeptical at first.

I will look into that cleanser Leuca!
I am not irritated so fat but I'm not crazy about my cleanser (philosophy purity)
