I have extremely dry skin and very red cheeks with the most annoying bumps. I've seen lots of people (including myself) with them on the backs of their arms but I also get them on my cheeks. Does anyone know the cause to these and ways to get rid of them PLEASE.

Sounds like KP ( Keratosis Pilaris) aka 'Chicken Skin'. A photo would be of big help. If that is the case, it's an easy fix.
What is your current skincare routine?

Janelle, do you have it on the backs of your arms as well? The most important thing for this is gentle exfoliation and moisturizing the area. A great BHA is going to be highly effective, but if you run dry or sensitive..if you are on acne medication, an AHA might be your better option.
For BHA, Paula's Choice is my favorite. Here's a link to her website with info about KP and in grey, links to her products which are available in sample sizes online.

If you have sensitive skin that doesn't pair well with Salicylic Acid, then I recommend the Alpha Hydrox (Alpha Skincare) line is affordable and at the proper pH to offer gentle exfoliation.
They are branded for anti-aging, but the formulation is ideal for KP at a great price.

Their renewing lotion for the face is equally effective. Drugstore.com has the line as does Ulta. Ulta has the renewing lotion.
I'd wash with CeraVe, apply my toner, then my treatment at night, beginning every 3rd evening. 15-30 minutes after you've applied your treatment, I'd follow up by topping it with CeraVe PM.
You need broad spectrum sun protection when using KP treatments. (CeraVe AM is dry skin/acne friendly)
If you have a Clairsonic, the sensitive head will also be of help when washing up a few times a week.
CeraVe has a renewing skin lotion that will also do the trick, but the pH is slightly higher than ideal, but it works in a pinch and is affordable.
Dermadoctor makes a great KP Duty scrub which leaves skin smooth as silk and would boost results. Sephora and I believe Ulta both carry it. It's a tad pricey, but a little goes a long way; worth every penny. It's used on dry skin, prior to a shower.
My very best advice is to see your Dr. or a Derm to properly diagnosed. None of the products recommended will do skin harm. If anything, they're great for getting smooth, bright, soft skin while also targeting acne with an anti-aging bonus.

(The KP Scrub is for the body, not face) Hope that helps.
