I've seen a lot of special effects gelatin recipes and they all include glycerin. But I have the Knox Unflavored Gelatin, so how can I make the gelatin without the glycerin?

You can't make SFX Gelatin without glycerin that I'm aware of. Glycerin is pretty easy to find, though. It's sold in most supermarkets as well as drugstores. Amazon sells it as well.
Here is a video showing you the process if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkcDsLsHNKo

You definitely can't without glycerin. It's what holds it together.
You can get glycerin just about anywhere though. Even pharmacy stores usually have them.
