As an incoming freshman (14 yo) I would like to know your guys (+girls) opinions on lip shades that are appropriate! p.s. I do not prefer pinks (: I already have & use mac's whirl along with clear mascara & blush! ❤️

If you don't like pinks then I'd just stick to nudes(Kinda sexy, Cherish etc) as I find that's more appropriate for that age
Reds I feel look good but they can be a bit much for school and everyday unless you're using a more of a muted red or on the sheer side
Orange shades like MAC Morange look good but more subtle oranges would like Their Sushi Kiss or Tangerine Dream would look great as would purple shades like MAC Up The Amp (more of a lilac) or Heroine (a more vivid blue based purple)
Darker shades are quite the trend but I'm personally not fond of it
But they could work if you keep your eye makeup fairly subtle, in fact any shade could work if you just keep the eyes subtle

I feel like true nude lip colors would be the most appropriate for school. Like Aurora said, red could be a little over the top for everyday wear. Lumiere 2 by colourpop is a really really pretty kinda purple-y mauve color, and a lot of people love it. If you're interested in more of a pink-nude color that's like a my lips but better shade (it's not noticeably pink it just gives it a little more dimension), then the Urban Decay lipstick in the shade "Liar" is fantastic. It's more of a satin finish, but it stays on for a long time. I think it's more comfortable for like marathon wear lol because it doesn't dry your lips out or crack or any of that lovely stuff that comes with wearing matte allllll day.

I feel like any shade. I never let my age define my makeup choices

I personally use more nude or dark colors for school. If I'm out with friends I wear colors I wouldnt usually wear.
