So, I just bought this foundation and used it for the first time. I have it in Pearl and although it is very yellow it blended well on my skin. I used the cover fx illuminating primer underneath and cerave pm moisturizer (I usually use spf but grabbed wrong bottle)
My question is what people like to use under this foundation. I know it's super popular. Also, does anyone else use the color pearl? It seems too dark but blended great. It actually covered my under eye area better that it stays on my cheeks. Any tips or tricks you have would be great!! : )

Also, application. I tried using my buffing brush I like to use but this is too thick to do that in particular. Let me know what you like to use/application techniques please : )

I use either Becca backlight primer or Makeup forever step one smoothing primer beneath it depending on my mood lol:) I use the real techniques miracle complexion sponge (or something like that haha the orange beauty blender type sponge) to pat in after dotting it around my face.

Thank, Alma. Me too!!
And I'll have to try a sponge for application. I want to try as much as I can so I can return it soon and get something else if it doesn't end up being right for me. Thanks Angela for taking the time.

I like to use the TooFaced hangover Rx primer. My skin is normal to dry so I like a primer that is hydrating. I usually apply the foundation with a damp makeup sponge, and the foundation builds up nicely as well if you need more coverage. I always set this foundation with a light amount of powder and setting spray. I find if I don't, it rubs off quite easily and my mascara will transfer pretty bad.

I also use the shade pearl! I was so excited when they came out with the lighter shades for us fair girls haha and I thought that color would be too dark for me as well but it actually isn't!
