I'm going today and I'm returning the Kat Von d it feels good but then when I put my foundation it's too greesy I don't know what to do anymore I don't want so much moisterizing either but just right enough for thread flakes on my forehead and smooth skin.

I have really dry skin as well and have been using Smashbox Photofinish Oil Primer. Extremely hydrating and makes your skin the perfect canvas for creating beautiful looks. Sinks into the skin immediately. No greasy oily feel, just silky soft skin. Please let us know what you end up getting!

I love love LOVE the Smashbox Oil Primer as well, but dammmmn, keep it far far from your eyes. I got overzealous because it's so fantadtic on my T zone and whew! 2 Black eyes. ;)
I think you'd find that too oily for your particular tastes.
It does, indeed, give great hydration, but if you want something that addresses pores, it won't suit your needs either.
I second the MUFE hydrating primer. Laura Mercier's is also nice.
