I used to get dry patches but I started using Mario badescu moisturizer and it cleared up.

Make sure you exfoliate regularly to remove the dead flaky skin and then moisturize plenty afterwards. I would use argan oil and the Mario Badescu AHA and Ceramides lotion. You can also set hour foundation with the Mario Badescu Rosewater and Herbs face mist to provide extra moisture (or do this whenever your skin is getting dry). And I recommend Tony Moly sheet masks (my favorite is the rice one!) once per week because they are sooo moisturizing and you will wake up with moisturized, glowing skin.

I used to have the same issue with my combo skin. My flaking has completely disappeared since I started using my Foreo Luna mini as well as the Smashbox primer oil daily. I also exfoliate with Philosophy Microdelivery Exfoliating wash 2x a week.
