I just picked up this lacura caviar night cream from aldi. I am wondering whether it's worth using as I'm 30 and my skin not ageing apart from lines under my eyes. If not then I will return them back to aldi.

Your skin starts aging around 18 years old because thats when collagen isnt produced in your body anymore. So I would keep it and use it. At 30 you should be using more than just 1 prosuct for anti aging.

Your body continues to produce collagen, it simply reaches a peak at a certain age and then production is decreased.

Even then, there are many ways to stimulate collagen. A cream from Aldi, as much as I love them, is probably not going to stimulate collagen. You should incorporate Retinol and Vitamin C into your skincare. light peels, Microderm..there are several ways to boost collagen so keep the faith.
I'd invest in a facial, then get some Retinol and C, essential facial oils and a chemical exfoliant (plus broad spectrum sunscreen) if you want to tackle anti aging from a few different angles.

Roc and Paula's Choice both have Retinol products that I find effective. The Alpha skincare line is top notch and often much less expensive. They've just started some Retinol products, which you can find at Walgreens.

Timeless Skincare has a great C & E serum and Squalane that's very affordable. ($24) Store C serums in the fridge to extend shelf life. I know Ms. Kitty loves Squalane in the Indie Lee formula which is sold here on Beautylish. It's an ingredient in some of my repair products from the Derm and so I do trust in it's abilities to benefit the skin based on my results. The link to Timeless is here.

I think both the Algenist Hydrating Toner and Paula's Choice Resist Toners are both great formulas for the same price. Paula sells test samples for nearly all her products and often there are discount codes, which is nice. You may want to use a glycolic toner or serum.
A great toner will soften, plump/hydrate and help skin texture.
I love Alpha Hydrox AHA serum, Swipes, Souffle and Body Lotion. I get them at Walgreens online or Drugstore.com, but some Walgreens have them in store. They gently chemically exfoliate skin, turning over skin cells and stimulating collagen and for very little money. Like Retinol, this is a cumulative anti-aging approach so patience & diligence is key. Some people prefer BHA, and I like Paula's formula, but if you have a CVS, they have a 1% and 2% BHA in their Skin+Pharmacy line that is excellent. My own skin is sensitive so I don't use BHA often, as AHA has been pretty phenomenal with my own skin, but I do use it now and again. (That BHA is the only product from the CVS line that I like.)

To plump up fine lines, incorporate hyaluronic acid into your skin care. CeraVe AM and PM are at the drugstore are both excellent, and can be used in the eye area and on the lids.
I often use the PM as my daytime moisturizer. You can get a coupon on the CeraVe website. Most importantly, wear a broad spectrum sunscreen. This is where you just cannot cut corners or skip. Most Anti-aging products increase photo sensitivity and you don't want to undo all your skincare, let alone break down additional collagen. This should be reapplied if you are in sun, every 2 hours. Wear sunglasses whenever possible. I find that Olay Pro X Nightly micropeel, which is a triple acid peel, is pretty outstanding, not only for a drugstore but for any anti-aging product, including much higher end options. I'd begin any acid or retinol product usage once a week..then twice a week the 3rd week..and see how your skin responds from there. Ease into usage to avoid irritation, dryness or redness. Some people can use them daily. I cannot, but you do build up a tolerance. After you apply an AHA product, you can put moisturizer right over it. I wait about 15 minutes and then apply my CeraVe PM or a product from my derm, etc.

All of these products are anti-aging that will boost collagen and protect you from free radical damage. Peptides, Ceramides, Niacinamide..these help your skin repair itself and protect your skin. Remember that diet plays a crucial role in skin as does genetics.
Look for natural, non fragrant oils that are cold pressed. I love Sweet Almond Oil, Apricot Oil, Evening Primrose, Rosehip and Jojoba as well as Coconut Oil. I use Coconut now and again on my hair and always to gently remove eye make up, followed with a wet Cotton pad. Aldi does have Organic Cold Pressed Coconut Oil. If you are not prone to breakouts, it's a great way to make body scrubs as well. Perfect for shaving legs, etc.

I cannot stress enough how much these heavily fragrant products and oils actively damage the skin in the long run. Look for products with no or very little fragrance. I also advise to avoid products high in alcohol (or that contain it) unless they are fatty alcohols. You want to avoid denatured alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol..these varieties. I personally almost never use even witch hazel because I find it drying. The Algenist toner has witch hazel, but in a small amount, which is fine in my view. The Paula's choice is free of it completely. If you don't run dry, you can use aloe based Thayers toner if you are on a really tight budget. They sell it at most drugstores. Start reading the ingredient lists. It's the best thing you can do for your skin! Also, amp up foods high in antioxidants and Omega 3. This is great for your body, both inside and out. Zinc, B vitamins, C, Iron...so many great ways to work them into your diet.

If you find yourself in a position to take advantage of a spring or summer special, a facial, light peel or microderm might be something to think about and save up for. They stimulate collagen, smooth texture and fade fine lines with immediate results. Never give up on the notion that you can stimulate collagen. You are a great age to be stepping up skincare and changing your skin health for the better. The best advice, outside of wearing sunblock, was to never, ever tug at the delicate eye area and to always use pure cotton on my face.

Best of luck to you. :)

Thanks for your help I'm based in the UK. I am already using garner micelles water cleanser, pixie toner and follow up with lacura night cream. I use no7 eye defence for my eyes. Daytime I use Vitamin E sorbet face cream by the body shop.

I really like using a micro-derma roller on my face! It's inexpensive (I think I paid less than $30 for it) and it stimulates the production of collagen. It's never too early to start taking good care of your skin!

Keep it moisturized and hydrated. You don't need expensive creams or serums as there are a lot of items in your own kitchen you can use if you prefer (honey, lemon, salt, coconut oil, olive oil, vegetable Crisco, etc.).

I've never been much of a sun worshipper, I've never smoked, and I very rarely drink and I feel I'm reaping the benefits of that, now!

I'll be 48 in 6 months.

You look fab Kat, I'm the same I don't drink much or exposed myself to sun or smoke. At work everyone says I look 20 I'm 30 as I dress casual and always looked after myself. Now I want to make sure I'm doing properly :) my mum looks 40 but going to be 60 in few years she never used anti ageing she only started few years ago. Best to keep it simple less chemical the better. Stick to cleanser toner and moisturise. Also good healthy diet.
