So I found Caroline Hirons blog and I was completely blown away!
her absolute stress on acid toners is making me want to buy one! so from her affordable recommendations which one do you guys recommend?
pixi glow tonic, first aid beauty radiance pads, clarins exfoliating toner and clinique mild lotion.
p.s. my skin is oily. no acne no blackheads. only open pores and dullness.
oh and I have my eye on Sunday Riley Good Genes.. any dupes for that? worth the splurge?

I have not tried any of the brands you mentioned but I love my paula's choice bha. it's so effective and she doesn't add any unnecessary ingredients to her products. I'm not too sure about this, as I have for my personal needs mainly looked into bha, but as you don't need to clear up blackheads etc. an aha might be sufficient for you.

I agree with paulas choice - it's affordable and it works well - her website also explains the difference between the BHA and AHAs and what skin types they are best suited for - for your skin a BHA would work well - I use her 2% BHA gel.

So paula's it is then! is it available anywhere else other than their main website in UK?

Not that I know of - they don't have many stores that sell them unless you have an ULTA there - or you can buy online through ULTA or drugstore.com

Found it at lookfantastic.com but wait! there are 3 variants liquid, gel and lotion for BHA! which one shall I choose? I am thinking one of 2% BHA and 10% AHA resist one.

Go on the paulas choice website and do some research on which one is better for your skin type - she has a section that discusses the differences between a BHA and an AHA but I personally use her 2% BHA gel
