So I'm going in to a local gas station to apply for a part time cashier job. There are no dress requirements but I don't want to look too casual. Any ideas on what I should wear?

I would wear leggings or black jeans, black boots, a jumper with a shirt underneath.

Leggings are unprofessional. Your best bet would just be casual -jeans and a nicer top and sweater

When I go job hunting, I usually wear dark denim, then a nice top, then always close toed shoes.

I would NEVER wear jeans to an interview. Slacks, dressy top, and flats are my go to interview attire. Always got me the job. Also a good tip, wear something bright like a pop of yellow. This gives the interviewer a sense of happiness and joy and also helps them remember you vs. the usual black and white. Just jeans are a no no for me. They don't look professional, no matter what you're going for imo. Too casual...

No jeans. Way better to err on the side of conservative in all interviews. Definitely no flip flops either!

If it's just to apply, Sadie's idea is perfect.

I think you can just wear what you want, it IS an interview so make sure you're cleavage free. But I'd never wear anything too classy to an interview at a gas station. I'd wear something super classy to an office job interview. Just go for a knee length dress and wedges or something and wear a cardigan over it.

Big coats and a pair of white or black jeans.
