Smashbox has a bunch of trios that are really pretty and nice. They have some that comes with two neutral colors and then one more exciting color if you want some basics but all want to have a bit of fun from time to time. http://www.sephora.com/photo-op-eye-shadow-trio-P292408?skuId=1349844.

Yo! It's totally a splurge, but I definitely recommend Smashbox Full Exposure palette! You get your share of matte and shimmer shadows. Works well on all skin tones. Definitely the best bang for the buck, and I believe there is a deluxe size 24 Hour shadow primer with the palette and a double sided shadow brush which I actually use everyday on my eyes.
