When to throw away makeup.

So I know there's a certain time frame to where makeup is no longer good and you have to discard it.

I go through eyeliner, mascaras and lipstick quite fast but when it comes to eyeshadow palettes; quite opposite.
I know on the bottom it shows how long it can last but I never use up my eyeshadows by that time. In addition to that they're over 50 bucks and quite expensive, in all, I feel like I'm throwing away money.

Any of you go through the same thing

I've never seen how long eyeshadows last 😱 now I feel stupid.
But I feel you! I always get to use my eyeliner up before it's too late but other makeup not so much. So I feel you throwing away money.

Yeah I go through mascara and those everyday items quite fast so they never expire. When it comes to eyeshadows, I don't even care if I keep them for too long, as long as its not dangerous and they work lol. They're way too expensive to be thrown away:P.

I think anything liquid needs to keep with its expired dates because they dry up and the product can separate. But those are mostly daily used items. I don't ever throw away powdered products because of their age. They go when they're done, as long as they still look the same. Most people won't use up a full eyeshadow pallet in a year, and most of us usually have more than 1 as well. I just take things that go on my face like foundation or in my eyes like mascara to use those rules.

Most makeup bottles actually have an expiration date on them so that usually helps :D

True I'm with you there I love palettes, and got a good amout but other then that I think my makeup is a decent size for personal use, I find it a bit out of hand when girls have like 10 foundations I don't know about you but I know for sure I couldnt go through 10 bottles of foundation for personal use in one year lol, I was on a lipstick high for a bit but backed off cuz I don't want to end up throwing them away lol... My man gave me a cermon last time saying I buy to much makeup and that I don't use it every day that I should just buy what I need, and then to add insult to injury he says I'm a laugh when your makeup expiers and you got to throw it away, I couldnt disagree with him cuz its true so i just gave him the look you gave me lol
