I hope I put this in the right category lol. So I'm about to enter my third trimester and I'm getting worried about stretch marks, I have heard some very mixed reviews on if cocoa butter is good to use or not. Do you ladies have any experience with stretchmarks, or if you've had kids could you let me know what you used? Thanks so much!

I used cocoa butter but it didn't really do much, the only things that worked for me was this Mexican lotion that literally made my stretch marks disappear like magic:0 it's called cicatricure! I swear by this stuff. After I had my baby,my butt looked as if a tiger clawed through my cheeks. After using this stuff for about 3 months they we're almost entirely gone. I suggested using cocoa butter for through your pregnancy because it is very moisturizing & safe & the lotion I mentioned after your pregnancy :-)

Btw using cocoa butter 3 times a day through my pregnancy on my belly ( I would forget to put it on my butt & thighs) I didn't get stretch marks.

I used cocoa butter throughout my entire pregnancy and it didn't go crap, so I'm having to deal with the horrible aftermath.

There is no way on avoiding stretch marks just try not to scratch your belly if you get itchy in your belly just rub your belly don't scratch and after you give birth wrap your self and put in aloe vera and it works wonders my cousin tried it and she has no stretch marks at all and she got her body back my wrapping her belly area.

MOISTURIZER!! Keep your skin hydrated so when the stretching starts your skin can accommodate.

I've also heard that if your mother had them, you will. My mother had plenty and so do I :/

My mom doesn't have a single stretchmark on her body, despite being overweight. And I am very petite, at 5'2 and 107 pounds pre pregnancy. So I'm thinking I probably won't get any, but better safe than sorry. :)

My entire family has them lol. We're all big though so maybe since your tiny you won't get them. Then again your skin is stretching, you know? I say if you're at least 7 months and haven't gotten them, you're fine. I still recommend moisturizing like Mari said. I tried so many things to avoid it but they still came and 3/4 of them are still there and my son is almost 3. Haha. I haven't really been doing much about them except bio oil everyday for about a year or so because I gave up after cocoa butter let me down and they're slightly fading. I'd post pictures because I have them in my phone but... I'm pretty sure nobody wants to see my chub chub and stretched skin so I'll keep them to myself lmao.

Aww Shanae, don't be ashamed of your stretch marks. I mean granted, we all will try to avoid them if possible, but in the end, those are a woman's tiger stripes and she earned them fair and square. ;) and that's very well said Kadey

Yes that's true Kadey. Just something I've heard. It really does just depend :/ I'm 5'6 and was 98lbs. when I got pregnant and was 170 after having my daughter two months early. I ate extremely healthy too.

That's crazy Mari, I don't think I've ever heard of a weight gain like that. I've only gained 13 pounds

I wasn't being rude? I was just saying I've never heard of that, I didn't say anything wrong. Calm down haha.

You're literally the only one who thought so, so whatever. (:

Stating that I've never heard of that before is not being rude. Don't even try and attack me for making a statement because I literally don't care what you think.

Olivia G.
I can see how that would come off as rude but since they're talking about the weight gain from pregnancy and not unhealthy habits like eating and lack of excessive it's not really rude.

That's what I'm saying Olivia, I just don't know anyone that has experienced something like that during pregnancy. In no way was I trying to come off as rude, I was stating a fact. And definitely let me know, Jacqlyn!
