I recently (2 weeks? ish) switched to cetaphil daily facial cleansing...how can I tell if that's breaking me out? 😭 my skin doesn't feel irritated or nothing and after that I use the cetaphil daily moisturizer. How long should I continue with that cleanser? I don't have as many pimple as before.

I like cetaphil! I have very sensitive skin but if that's breaking you out I would switch to purpose soap. I read somewhere that a pimple lasts a month, which with my skin, seems accurate, like 1 week forming and 2 weeks on the skin is what it feels like 😪 I LOVED the cetaphil cleanser though, especially when I was on accutane. I used both purpose and cetaphil. They're thick moisturizer in the tub is the only thing that works for me!

I like it to! Maybe it the pimples that are barely resurfacing from before I starting using that cleanser! Maybe I'll wait a month then :) thanks!

It's so hard to figure out what's even breaking you out because acne can be caused by many factors and cosmetic acne can be mixed in with hormonal acne :( Environment, Pollution, Foods, Stress, Oil production, even what you wash your hair with and perfumes can irritate the skin and cause break outs. The one thing that affects me the most are my sheets, not so much washing them often but using detergents with heavy fragrance is definitely not cool and it shows.
Process of elimination can help determine of any of the products you are using are not agreeing with your skin. In this case, since it's really hard to eliminate a cleanser and moisturizer you can skip out on cleansing in the mornings. I would give your products a month, essentially I say this because sometimes we feel like something is causing acne... but I always break out 2 weeks before my period and if I try something out 2 weeks before my period, I'm gonna be disappointed no matter what! Definitely give it some time and see from there.

Thanks kitty! I'll wash my sheets and pillow more often. And so for the morning.. What do I do instead of cleansing? Can I just dab my face with a tissue to get rid of oil?

You can dab your face, the whole idea of cleansing is really to introduce your skin to water so you can also do a nice cool rinse. There are people who benefit more from cleansing once a day. Your skin care will be trial and error until you get it down so definitely don't feel down about it, I know it can be frustrating :)
