I wouldn't recommend a color stripper, they're unpredictable - some people have no issues, but they completely fry the hair of others. Shampoo with an anti-grease dish soap instead, they pull out color well without doing too much damage. You want to get hair as light as possible and then tone it silver, so pulling out the blue dye as much as possible will cut down on total bleach time. Be sure to lighten slowly and give your hair time to recover. If you feel it getting stretchy or string-cheesy while bleaching that's a sign that it's getting badly damaged.
