Ok so I have a sweatshirt I got from band Merch online store and I lost 40 pounds so most of the stuff I used to wear is too big on me.. What can I do to shrink my sweatshirt so that I'll still be able to wear it?

There's an article in the editorial section, you might have to look for a bit though.

I think the best/only way to shrink clothing is to wash it on high heat like what Anna said.

Are you handy with a needle and thread? You can rip the seam (use a seam ripper or super sharp scissors) from the bottom all the way through the arms (if those are also too big) and take it in an inch or so. Or if you aren't comfortable sewing, you can use fabric glue or iron tape.

I think an oversized band shirt would be cute with leggings or skinny jeans anyways :) but I agree try to dry it in a hot drier, or get it altered other than that I'm not sure, although there should be lots of cool DIY tutorials for band shirts online! Maybe try to look those up :)

The fastest way is to get a hair band and tie it in the back then tuck it in, but that makes a bump at the back and also makes the shirts a little shorter, so depends what you need.
