Dyeing blonde over semi permanent hair dye?

I've been thinking about dyeing my hair back to blonde, but I don't know what will happen if I were to do it over top of my purple. It was blonde before I dyed it purple, would I have to bleach my hair back to blonde or could I just use a blonde dye??

Wait for the people to fade and it should show the blonde, if you can't wait you will have to bleach it.

Or you can use something that lifts the color.

You would have to use a color stripper and then possibly bleach and a toner to go back blonde, but honestly I love your purple.

The blonde would mix and turn a weird color. mine turned orange because I had pink in mine.

From my experience with these colors, bleaching it would cause it to turn a weird color. But what Bailee suggested is what would be best Hun 💜

I had pink and brown hair. to get to blonde, I had to bleach my hair and dye my hair. Unfortunately all of the pink wasn't gone so the ends turned green. If that happens to you, put ketchup or tomato sauce in your hair for at least 30 minutes and wash out. The red pigments from the ketchup will remove the green tones.

Any way you go your going to have to bleach it and then more then likely tone it but bleach can be very dangerous when used at home
