What All Do You Put Heat Protectant On?

Whenever using heat protectant, do you put it all over your hair or just on the ends? and how far would you say to keep from hair?

I put it everywhere lol :) my hair is fragile though.

I section my hair off into 3 layers, then on each layer I spray the ends, then the middle, sometimes I do the ends twice but not always, then I comb it through that whole layer (including my roots/top) do that on each layer, then comb out all my hair  :)

I put it all over except for the area near my roots because that could weigh my hair down and make it greasy!

You only need to apply heat protectent from the mid shaft to the ends
