I think the hardest part about choosing a flat iron isn't necessarily the brand, but the TYPE of flat iron. I love my Babyliss Pro, but wish I'd have gone with the tourmaline...and plan on getting a Babyliss Pro with tourmaline with my tax return.
You need to consider what type of hair you have when picking plates and always always get one that shows the exact temperature that you are using the iron at. This is so important. Good luck!

Thanks its just that I hav really thick frizzy hair and the iron I hav which I think has tourmaline makes my hair even frizzier and doesn't help at all. so I'm not sure if I should get tourmaline or tiatanium etc. and I keep getting different advice so I'm never sure so I keep putting off getting an iron and I really need to get one already!

Hmmm...they are Tourmaline coated, but what are your plates themselves?
Here is a great article that points out the pros and cons of both Titanium and Ceramic. This is an incredibly helpful article.
