Good/affordable hair extensions?!

I'm looking for some good quality hair extensions, I just don't want to have to pay $600 for them. Has anyone tried good ones that you love? And if so, how long was your natural hair and how many wefts/grams did you have to buy? My natural hair is pretty thick and about shoulder length, and I'd be looking to get either 18" or 20" extensions. Also, did you find it easier to but blonde and color them, or try and match your hair color?

I'm looking probably for clip ins, although I would be willing to get tape ins, it's just not my preference
