Hey everyone! So I was reading a magazine a while back and I got a free sample of a Biore Charcoal Deep Pore Cleansing Nose Strip. I've always wanted to try Pore Strips as I have pretty large pores, but I've heard that they can sometimes be damaging to your skin/potentially lead to infection. Does anyone know if this is true? And do you recommend using pore strips or are there better methods to cleanse pores?
Thanks!!

As long as you use them the right way & don't overuse them, I think they are fine for your skin. I personally use those, and I don't know how I went without them before! The pores on my nose are quite horrible, but after using these strips, my usually bad pores somehow seem to disappear! I definitely recommend.

Here's a great article from an incredibly respected and reliable source.

I use them and they have left my skin looking just fine! I wouldn't say they will completely remove all of your blackheads or completely shrink your pores but they can help.

I don't know about infection, but try can break capillaries. Not a risk I want to take. Plus if I had to wait for my pores to be that full that a pore strip would work, that would not be pretty. I personally recommend dissolving the dirt with oils and chemical exfoliation.

I use them all the time, and I love them. I usually shower, and then put them on. The warm water soaking my nose for 20 min helps my pores to kind of open up and I find it works better with that method vs just getting your nose wet. I have never heard of them causing infection, I would say don't overdo it if you're worried about broken capillaries. I do a pore strip like once a month. Hope this helped :)

I used to use them and they didn't do anything weird to my skin they just didn't work particularly well to be 100% honest.

They can cause broken capillaries, and collapsed pores (similar to ice pick scarring). Not a fan.
