I use the Dove even tone antiperspirant I think it's called? I've been using it about 6 months and I believe it's made a difference. Could be wishful thinking but I'm a lot less self conscious about it now.

First, look at the darkening. Is it all of the sjin, including the skin gold? Is it confined to where you have hair? Is there any other dark areas, such as your neck or beneath the breast/groin area?
If it is limited to where you have hair, the ladies are correct that waxing and exfoliation will make a big difference. If you do wax, don't exfoliate that day and be sure to apply a soothing aloe gel on the area.
If you are getting dark in other areas that I mentioned, it could an Endocrine issue as the body is struggling to break down insulin...in which cade, I'd see my doctor for bloodwork. Either way, it is fixable so no frets.
I'm sure it is fine and all tgat jazx, but I have seen some members dismiss dark areas and out of concern I felt it worth mentioning.
Definitely the Dove underarm option is an affordable place to start.
My best to you!

Agreed with Angela. I didn't realize I had grabbed that one, and after a few weeks my underarms where lighter. In my case I didn't have dark underarms so I had really really light underarms but it definitely lightened them noticeably and didn't go away for a few months after I stopped using it, so it's worth a try.

I watched this video by RCLbeauty101 called weird beauty hacks and apperntly to get rid of it is to either bit off of cut the top part of a potato (yes a potato) and rub it under your arms and the darkness should reduce (you can watch the video)

Exfoliate and moisturize - we often forget that the skin in our armpits needs just as much love and care as the rest of our body - I had dark skin there but after I started exfoliating and moisturizing the area regularly then it went away - I still shave so mine wasn't caused by shaving and I've never waxed that area so it's not so necessary - I use a sugar scrub to exfoliate then just moisturize before deodorant and that part of skin looks like the rest of my body :)

Use lemon! It's a natual skin lightener and even hair lightener! But make sure to not go into the sun for too long if you have to go outside, I'd say 30 minutes at most! But I've used lemon on my knees and it works amazing!
