I have acne scars and brown spots from tanning indoor and outdoor, I been using vitamin c serum I'm going to purchase a better one from paulas choice, but I also want to purchase an exfoliant which one would be better for my needs? an aha and bha exfoliant?

If you are oily or have blackheads, BHA.
If you are dry, AHA.
Broad Spectrum physical sunscreen will also help.

Aha has glycolic acid which a better exfoliater then sisilic acid so I would think aha would work better

Well, it also depends on your concerns and skin type..what issue you are addressing. Here's an article from Paula on how to know which is right for you. Perhaps it will help.

I personally recommend ordering her samples first, the AHA did well when it came to my fine lines but it didn't do very much for brown spots. It did make my skin very irritated and sensitive as well so you need to keep up with a good mineral based SPF (chemical based will sting ) and re-apply & avoid the sun when you can.
I found the BHA to be more effective at clearing up my spots and maintaining my skin ( I have dry, sensitive skin ). It didn't dry out my skin like the AHA.
