I got my navel done nearly 3 weeks ago. I just use rock/sea salt in about an inch of water. an eggcup Is good to use. I got told to use q tips soaked the solution, and to clean it that way, and slightly move the barbell when doing so. I also got a small bottle of tea tree oil for if it starts playing up :)

Sea salt spray!! Best thing ever invented for piercings, I have my rook done and I usually have sensitive ears. But sea salt spray has made it recover so much quicker!! :) also cleaning daily with eucalyptus oil but sea salty would have to be my number one go to. :)

I would only use a saline solution (sea salt water) until it's completely healed which can take 6-12months. If you still have problems now I would go to the piercer who did your navel, or another professional piercer if you can't reach yours. If the problems are like slight bruising, redness, kind of swollen those are really common and usually go away after a while. Just keep in mind the healing process and duration varies person to person, your piercer should be able to tell you if anything is wrong and how to correct it if that's the case.

My advice is to not move it at all. I understand that it moves when cleaning but don't force. Also it only needs to be twice a day. Cleaning it too much is just as bad as not cleaning it at all. I clean mine with very gentle antibacterial soap and sea salt solution called Wound Wash that I purchased at Walmart. If it seems irritated or has hypertrophic scarring (looks like a pimple) I put a drop of tea tree oil on it once a day and as it heals every other day.
I have my navel, conch, and tragus pierced. I also have two lobe piercings stretched. I've had my other tragus pierced, my forward helix, and my tongue pierced twice. It does take at least a year for it to heal completely so until then you may see a little yellowish discharge and slight blood if you bump it or snag it on something. My navel gave me no trouble but my tragus has been the most difficult. The chamomile tea bags never worked for me. I heat the sea salt until it's warm unless it's swollen. If it's swollen then I use cold sea salt solution. If you make your own sea salt then use 1/4 teaspoon for every cup of water. I would say make a big cup and store it in a container in the fridge. Make a new one every 7 days. Your septum shouldn't need this type of care. If it has a bump then clean it once a day and apply tea tree oil until the bump goes away then only clean it non the shower and nix the tea tree oil. I have pictures of anything if you need assistance.

I have my medusa and nose done and I just made sure I was cleaning it at least two times a day with saline solution.

I have angel bites, septum, nose, tongue, medusa, ears, tragus, helix, bottom and top belly and the back of my neck and I've always only used a rock salt saline solution to clean my piercings, soaps and other things really aren't the best for a healing piercing, cleaning twice daily is enough however you'll need to do that for at least 3-6 months for the belly piercing as they take a longer time to heal.

I have navel, septum, nose and stretched ears, saline solution is good but if you use it too much can be very drying. same with antibacterial soap. I got my nose done recently and used a little bit of saline and then a little bit of coconut oil after showering and I'm pretty sure the coconut oil made a huuuge difference to the healing time!

Tbh I use methylated spirits for all my piercings (nose, ear cartilage, and normal ear) and although it does feel bad using meths on it, it heals up really quickly and kills infections nearly within the day. It's what our mothers and grandmothers used to use :)

Sea salt solution! The best thing to clean piercings with by far! If you find it easier to use as a spray, just make it up in an empty spray bottle!
