I have really long healthy hair, but lately we've gone swimming a lot and we're also going swimming today. My hair is starting to feel a little dry and I am worried it will get badly damaged from the chlorine, but I don't really have a choice of not getting into the water because I'm watching my little baby cousins and my younger sisters.
I guess my question is, what are your tips and tricks to keeping your hair healthy during these situations?
Yesterday, I tried putting a conditioner in my hair to act as a base, and it helped a little, but I think I need something a little stronger!

I have the same problem! After I go swimming I deep condition my hair. And when you shower, put conditioner on the tips of you hair! I hope that helps!

Rinse your hair completely with fresh water so it can't absorb so much chlorine
Put a bit of conditioner in as well
Rinse hair and wash it with a clarifying or a chlorine removing shampoo right after you swim to get the chlorine out
Use a hair mask and a hair oil after

Rinsing your hair from the harsh chemicals after you get out of the pool is very helpful. Also, using a deep conditioner, hair treatments, and oils/serums will help keep your hair healthy and strong!

Wet and then towel dry your hair. Cover it in conditioner and LEAVE-IN. Drugstore conditioner works just fine. And then braid your hair back with the product still in it before you go swimming! This gives it a good barrier. Then wash out with a good cleanser and condition. I would only use a clarifying shampoo and deep conditioner once a week because you can over do them and cause damage with those as well.
