I'm a 20year old girl and I was afflicted with a scalp infection a year ago. it severely depleted the volume of my hair. the infection is completely gone now but I can't seem to get my volume back. I'm a college student which means I'm broke all the time. so if you could recommend some fast home remedies, please do. thank you!

Hey! did you ever see a dermatologist for your scalp infection?

It may take time for your hair to get back to the healthy state it was in before the infection so you might just have to wait it out - in the mean time just take good care of your hair with regular trims (once a month if you can afford it) and you can try volumizing products - I like the volumizing mousse by John Frieda I put it in my wet hair at night then by morning by hair is voluminous - and it can be found at any drugstore

Try a root lifter spray, blowdry your hair upside down after spraying root lifter. Helps with the volume until your hair regains thickness!

A root lifter is nice. I agree with Diana. Just try to take care of yourself and eat healthy.

I feel your pain with thin hair. my hair couldn't hold a curl for ten minutes but now it lasts until I shower. I warm up coconut oil and put it in my hair for about half an hour. it repairs and it gives volume.

I try to make my hair look thicker by using a teasing brush to brush my roots, upwards from my scalp to my ends. You could also use baby powder at your roots to help make it look thicker. Also, when you wash your hair, make sure to reserve shampoo for the top of your hair, and conditioner for the bottom. This has really helped me build volume. Good luck! 😄
