So I'm transitioning into the gothic style and I was wondering what all you lovelies think is an appropriate age to start wearing black lip stick? I'm about to turn 14.

I've been wearing black lipstick since I was twelve so if you like it, wear it.

I think this is one I'd clear with my folks just to avoid unnecessary drama. My own mom cleared lipstick for me as a freshman, but I didn't venture into darker lipsticks until I was 16. Of your family isn't quite on board, perhaps you could transition from a parent-approved dark purple tone to black slowly. My own opinion would be 16 however. Good luck!

I agree, I would take if up with your parents first and foremost. I'd have to say though, it's whenever you feel confident in it. I'm 19 and cI iOS never be bold enough to wear black lipstick! How you feel in something is important. Don't do it jus got because it's coinciding with the "goth" look.

I honestly love black. It is so chic and elegant! I really didn't confront my parents about the shade as I kept it classy so it was taken just as if I was wearing a red lip. However, if you're using the shade to fit into a group that's not the bestest of ideas as you should satisfy yourself, not others. Be that as it may- I agree on clearing it by your parents in this instance
