Urban Decay's packaging is kinda ugly? I prefer a more simple look like NARS or MUFE. I love UD products but tell me what you think about the packaging!

I personally love their packaging, I find it really cute and eye catching. But I do really like the brands that's just have really simple matte black stuff... I think it's more professional looking.

I didn't say that the packaging has anything to do with the quality of the actual product.

I like variations in packaging. I like how their lip gloss pencils match the colour in the pencil. I like that the Nakeds have neutral packaging. Black packaging is sleek and all, but if I can get something that's cute to me, I would buy it over sleek.
Their eyeshadows are adorable.

I love it. Lots of it looks edgy which really catches my eye. I like the graffiti idea on their eyeshadows. And it's nice how they color the eyeliner the same on the outside of the pencil. I don't have to check what color I'm grabbing! Tres convenient!

I love it. I honestly think the reason I never have tried Nars or brands with similar packaging is because they don't catch my eye and I forget all about them. I prefer packaging that stands out. I know where all my UD palettes are in my kit because of packaging. Its much easier to find than the bh palettes I have, which are all black so I have to actually read what they contain (not that I ever go for them too often because UD usually has me covered lol) With UD I know that if I want the color "Midnight Cowboy" I know its in the tiny, wooden sustainable shadow palette, or its in the bigger, white book of shadows, just as an example. For me its so much easier that way. And I think its just fun. I also love how they've made their recent Glinda and Theodora eyeshadows in the customizable palettes. I am so excited to be able to take colors out and switch them around. There have been times where I've wished I could just take one eyeshadow with me and I have to either buy the single (if its even available as a single, some are palette-exclusive) or take the whole palette. Or depot the shadow, which I've never done. I think the magnetic palettes look tacky so I just keep it in its original palette. I'm hoping they'll start doing that with all the palettes they make.

I agree with Caitlin. I overlooked brands like Nars and Smashbox for a long time because of plain packaging. Call me a kid but I love something loud that catches the eye!
