Okay so obviously there are people that'll recommend EOS/Baby Lips, and I like them, but I have some severe problems with them. If I use Baby Lips regularly, my lips often feel dry and awkward whenever I don't have it on. EOS is good but my dog will chew them up, or they'll dry me out. Does anyone have a good standard lip balm that won't do either of those things? My lips are super dry and never seem to take to any lip balm well.
(Also a mint scent/flavour is preferred)

Aquaphor. I seriously swear by it. It's water-based so its not all slimy and gross. It can be used on dry skin, too. Also, I love Nivea lip balms for their moisture. If you really want to splurge, give Fresh's lip balms a try. You'll be hooked!

Jack Black!! They have a Vaseline-like texture but a little thinner and they come in a few different flavors, including a mint one. They're a bit pricier than a standard balm but nothing outrageous (at least not to me). They're $7.50 at Sephora's site or the Jack Black site. From what I know its currently an online only item. A free-standing Sephora might have them but I'm not sure, the one I usually go to is a smaller store inside JCPenney.
I also love Fresh Sugar balm. Its $22 but I think its worth every penny in that 22 lol. They have an advanced therapy one too, although I honestly don't feel I need it. They have a similar texture to baby lips but work 100x better and smell a million times better.
And then the other thing I swear by is Philosophy's Kiss Me Tonight intense lip therapy (available through Philosophy's site only, $20) I use it at night and the next day my lips are soft and hydrated. I always used to have horrible, chapped, peeling, cracked, bleeding lips and those three things are the only things to ever do anything for me. Drugstore lip balms just don't do anything for me. I don't use anything except those three products when it comes to lip balms/treatments anymore. Sure I spend more money but to me they're worth it. I love the Jack Black balm but it is kind of my substitute for the Fresh balm because I don't always have $20 to spare for it and it does go kind of fast. But I do love both and the Jack Black and Philosophy lip therapy last a long time.

The original chapstick in strawberry is my all time favorite, I have baby lips and that's good but it doesn't even compare to the original chapstick. I also like blistex and the nivea ones, they're amazing!

I love Burt's Bees! I have literally tried almost every time a lip balm out there and Burt's Bees in one of the few that will moisturizer my lips as well as not leaving them dried out afterwards.

Haha this is going to sound weird and childish but Lip Smackers. I've always loved the moisture they apply to my lips. I have over 20 of them but I use mainly my Dr. Pepper flavor. Plus it adds a small tint so my lips don't look dull.

Nivea, without a doubt. I must have like 10 of them in separate bags and in my desk and stuff. The kiss of smoothness and the kiss of moisture are my favorites. Kiss of softness has a thinner consistency, so I like to use it during the day as a balm touch up, kiss of moisture is pretty heavy so I put it on right before bed and wake up with crazy soft lips! I live in the midwest so it gets cold and windy and dry, which is basically hell for lips, so I need something that gives that intense moisture. I can't just use the waxy type balms that just coat your lips, because they make the cracking and chapping a lot worse.

You are just like me my lovely fwend! Omg , I'm actually not alone. I've been struggling w/ dry lips forever && always having to exfoliate my lips w/ a lip scrub before applying lipstick. I haven't had much luck either. I'm going to buy the lip butter at Sephora, I've tried one of their testers && so far so good.I 'll keep you posted if it works.
