When I put my hair in a ponytail I look like a lion after 5 min I have a lot of hair that sticks out and it bugs me I tried water but the hair still stands and I'd use anything but hairspray please help!

Have you tried using a bit of Moroccan oil? I use just a tiny bit on my hair to smooth it out then put it up in a ponytail. Or some smoothing cream will work too!

I use Moroccan oil and work it all throughout my hair then add Sebatian Potion #9 and work that through my hair. Stays sleek and in place and doesn't look stiff. Hairspray does work best to finish it off...it will just hold it a lot longer in the end. I hate hairspray too and rarely use it as it dries my hair really bad and makes it look dull.

If you use hairspray tke a scarf ,spray thn quickly tke the scarf over your head and pat gently to smooth the hairs dwn.my sister said the Moroccan oil is quite heavy and oily after awhile.so use very little if you try that.
